About

New Information Sciences deals with the use of information in commercial and organisational contexts. The content varies in complexity, but simplicity is always preferred. However where a technology or method is complex then we treat it accordingly, and we make no excuse for mathematical rigor when it is required.

A great deal of information on the site is free – particularly the tutorials. However in-depth analysis of various technology offerings is not free and these can be purchased individually or through subscription. The level of complexity associated with analysis is always indicated, and some of it is not suitable for casual reading, but will be of interest to specialists.

New Information Sciences was founded by Martin Butler, best known as Founder of Butler Group – Europe’s largest indigenous IT analysts company before its acquisition by Datamonitor in 2005.
